Abstract:
When water lubricated bearings operate under complex and harsh working conditions, the transition of their lubrication state is inevitable, which means that most bearings will operate in a mixed lubrication state. At this point, micro convex contact will occur on the surface between journal and bearing, and the lubrication and friction wear characteristics of the bearing will be affected by the roughness peak and elastic deformation effect. This article uses MATLAB program to establish a water lubricated bearing model under mixed lubrication state, and studies the influence of different working conditions and structural parameters, roughness peaks, and elastic deformation effects on the static and dynamic characteristics. Through this study, the degree of influence of four surface conditions on the lubrication performance of water lubricated bearings under different working conditions and structures can be determined. Subsequent the work based on this data can adjust the structural parameters to reduce bearing operation risks and avoid negative impacts.
